Motions and other agenda items can be sent to Patricia Eiche, avuba Head of Administration (avuba@unibas.ch) by November 20, 2019. Anyone wishing to get actively involved in avuba can stand for election to the executive board – in addition to the ex-officio board members – on December 2, 2019, or put themselves forward for the office of co-president. The current avuba co-presidents, Philippe Hofstetter and Christopher Klenk, will be stepping down at the end of the year. We are therefore seeking two new assistants who are interested in and have the time to spend at least one year representing assistants from 1 January 2020 with a 20% workload (remunerated in accordance with the Doc 2 tariff). The presidium is part of the avuba executive board and ideally consists of one doctoral student and one postdoc from different faculties. Basic German language skills are required because most university documents are written in German and most meetings take place in German. If you are interested, please contact Philippe, Christopher, or Patricia, the avuba head of administration. Applications close on 15 November 2019. The co-presidents will be elected by the avuba members present at the General Meeting on December 2, 2019.
