Dear colleagues,

The planned financial cuts which are part of the ‘Relief Programme 2027’ (Entlastungsprogramm 2027) threaten the quality of education and research in Switzerland. If accepted, they are going to lead to job insecurity, higher tuition fees and weakened research. avuba and actionuni have already published a press release entitled “we call for maintaining funding for Switzerland’s high-quality research and teaching” at the end of February as well as a flyer (English, German).

Now we want to join forces and take action together!

Therefore, please take the time to attend our joint information event, organized by:

• avuba – the assistants' representation of the University of Basel
• skuba – the student representation of the University of Basel
• VPOD – the trade union for public service employees

We will provide information about past and future planned activities and discuss them with you.
