lunch talk: Neurodiversity and personality traits at UniBas

Are you easily overwhelmed by stress and do you perform worse under pressure? Do you find it difficult to carry out a task simply because you tend to see its complexity?

According to science, 15-20% of the population are highly sensitive persons (HSPs). It is a personality trait that brings both strengths and challenges. This allows you to perceive more nuances in your environment or you are more emotionally touched by things compared to non-HSPs. However, you might experience certain issues in the work context (e.g., fear of failure, work blockages). Here you can check your degree of HSP:

Psychologist Debora Draxl gives a short introduction on the topic and collects needs of the participants.
The aim is to create a peer group at UniBas to support each other, i.e., ad(h)d, autism spectrum, social anxiety, interview fear, intellectual abilities etc.

The event is for individuals who think they might be HSP and to people who want to know more, perhaps because you work with or share a home with a highly sensitive person.
