Lunchtime Meeting: Depression 101, an effective introduction

How to recognize the onset of a depressive disorder? How is it different from sadness? How to handle it, also at the workplace? * This seminar is part of a series of seminars on neurodiversity and mental health in academia organized by Compass-Mind and avuba.

Depressive disorders are a major global public health challenge that has increased in recent years. Chances are high that you have been affected yourself or that you know people affected by depressive disorders. How can you detect the symptoms and what can you do about it?

"Speaker: Elena Pauli works as a psychotherapist and is a doctoral student in clinical psychology and animal-assisted interventions".

We will talk about the development, treatment and prevention of depression in the context of academia.

Lunch will be provided afterward (13.15-13.45)
