In the business world as well as in universities, power games and assertiveness strategies are gaining in importance with every career step. Did you ever happen to notice that “games” were being played to which you did not only not know the rules but also had no idea how to play along with? Sibyl Schädeli sheds a light on hidden and unspoken mechanism in organizational power games. You will learn about:

• organizational dynamics that keep power structures in place
• two “languages” that can cause misunderstandings and support or prevent career steps
• some typical tricks and traps you could encounter on your way up
