Lunchtime Meeting: Stress, burnout, and how to recognize and handle them

How to recognize if you or a colleague of yours is in burnout? When simple stress becomes too much? How to handle them in the workplace? * This seminar is part of a series of seminars on neurodiversity and mental health in academia organized by Compass-Mind and avuba.

Stress and burnout have become such common parts of our lives that we often see them as unavoidable.

But what if stress and burnout aren’t just problems, but a natural, functional response, even if they cause discomfort? So, what’s the message behind stress and burnout, and how can understanding them help us?

"Prof. Dr. Jens Gaab, a psychotherapist and leading researcher in the field of stress and stress management, will explore the evolutionary role of stress, its social aspects and how we can actually use stress to experience less of it".

Lunch will be provided afterward (13.15-13.45)

This event is for:

PhDs, postdocs and university students (BS & Master) with an interest in neurodiversity and mental health who want to share experiences in a safe space and learn more about the topic to better support colleagues and create an inclusive work culture.
